Join over 1,000 riders for scenic cycling through Iron Furnace country and have a blast! French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust preserves, protects and connects people to the land in northern Chester County where iron blast furnaces and forges served as cornerstones of industry in colonial Pennsylvania – hence, “Iron Tour”. When you ride in the Iron Tour, you have a direct impact on the preservation of the pristine countryside that surrounds you. Since 1967, French & Pickering has protected over 12,850 acres in northern Chester County.
With courses ranging from 11 to 100 miles, there’s a ride for everyone!
All proceeds from the Iron Tour benefit the mission of French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust to preserve, steward, and connect people to the land in northern Chester County.
This artwork features the dramatic scenery of the Great Periglacial Marsh of northern Chester County. This marsh is located in the upper reaches of both the Brandywine and French Creek watersheds and contains some of the cleanest water in Chester County. Much of the marshland remains geologically unchanged since the last ice age, over 10,000 years ago.
This jersey design highlights the important work of French & Pickering in protecting open space and clean water.
