Karena DiLeo
Stewardship Coordinator
After completing her graduate work studying amphibians in the Pinelands, Karena was hired as a biologist for New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). While at DEP, Karena worked with endangered and threatened species with a focus on habitat evaluation and restoration for amphibians and reptiles. During this time, Karena had the opportunity to work with landowners and farmers to promote Federal and State programs to protect and improve habitat for the Federally threatened bog turtle (Glyptemys muhlenbergii).
Karena is excited to be able to continue working with local landowners to promote habitat restoration and protection through the French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust.
