When you ride in the French Creek Iron Tour, you have a direct impact on the preservation of the scenic countryside that surrounds you. Since 1967, French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust has protected more than 13,700 acres and created greenways and trails along the two creeks. Historically important lands are included in those 13,700 acres.
Route descriptions
The Iron Tour has distance options of 11, 20, 32, 50, 62, 75, and 100 miles for road courses, and two gravel courses – the Petite Gravel (60 miles) and the Grande Gravel (80 miles) with approximately 30% on gravel. There’s something for every type of rider, from a short ride through breathtaking countryside, to a century route, or to a grueling gravel challenge!

2026 Jersey
Ride in style with the 2026 French Creek Iron Tour jersey!
Building on Chester County’s local celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and in recognition that this year’s ride falls on Flag Day, the 2026 jersey is decorated in red, white, and blue.
Did you know the Iron Tour takes riders through historically important landscapes? The Revolutionary War might have had a different outcome were it not for the many iron furnaces in northern Chester County in the late 1700s. This includes the Warwick Furnace, whose restored remaining structures now sit within the protected lands of the Thomas P. Bentley Nature Preserve. During the war, Warwick Furnace supplied ammunition for General George Washington’s army. It is this significant regional history that gives the French Creek Iron Tour its name.
All Iron Tour apparel is crafted in the U.S.A. and shipped directly from Voler in California.
