SUMMARY:Understanding Our Local Streams: Backyard Basics of Stream Ecology\, by Cory Trego
DESCRIPTION:The scenic stream corridors of northern Chester County are a vital component of our community.  Healthy streams contribute to the bucolic character of this region and make our local watersheds desirable places to live\, work\, and play. This presentation will provide an introduction to our local streams\, explore the habitats they provide\, discuss factors that contribute to stream health\, and review the pressures that can lead to stream impairment. This presentation will also discuss the role that residents\, businesses\, municipalities\, community\, and non-profit organizations play in improving\, protecting\, and preserving these valuable resources. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis lecture will be presented by Cory Trego\, Project Environmental Scientist at Gannett Fleming\, and Secretary of the North Coventry Township EAC.
