The Trust is having an extraordinarily productive year. Conservation Director Pam Brown reports that we have secured more than $1.6 million in state and county funding to purchase conservation easements to create parkland and preserve environmentally sensitive lands in East Vincent and Charlestown Townships. These projects will result in the protection of 200 hundred scenic acres for recreation or watershed protection.
In addition, we are writing easements for 11 properties, which will permanently protect another 240 acres in the French and Pickering Creeks and Pigeon Run watersheds in Warwick , East Pikeland , and Charlestown Townships.
